Tape residue along top margin edge from previous mount. One spot of foxing beneath the trumpeter's mouth, mostly visible verso, slight toning in mat opening. A favorite theme and great folkloric image by this important artist, devoted to portraying African American culture and folklore, treated in several versions and media.
