This document establishes a system of designation for thermoplastic PE UHMW materials, which can be used as the basis for specifications. For the purposes of this document, PE UHMW materials are polyethylene materials having a melt massflow rate (MFR) of less than 0,1 g 10 min, measured at 190 C and 21,6 kg load. The types of PE UHMW are differentiated from each other by a classification system based on appropriate levels
