Mourning Dove and Acorn detail Wall Plaque chicago pottery 14”L x 7This piece is inspired by the gentle mourning dove, fluttered to an acorn studded branch. This piece was created by hand sculpting the bird and branch, cutting it in half, and hollowing it out for a lighter piece and also for structural integrity during the firing process. The oval base and is capped with a covering near the top to hide the hole used for hanging. The back of the piece is laid with a mirror mosaic which illuminates the piece, and also
