Multura Fort, Bengal Printed Area Measurement_28.5 x 37 cm gardens and estatesOriginally published in the series Twenty Four Views in Hindostan, a part work issued 1802 1805 to illustrate Francis Blagdons Brief History of Ancient and Modern India; the plates appeared in a slightly different order when the book was made available as a complete volume. BM notes that this composition is based on a picture by Francis Swain Ward it depicts the river Yamuna, as it flows past the fort at Mathura, in Uttar Pradesh. The fort, known as
